Two types of courses are offered by the SLI:
- Type 1 includes the "G" courses (fee-paying courses).
- Type 2 includes the "P" courses
Course type | Detailed description |
Type 1 G-Courses | - These courses are for a maximum of 20 participants, and are specially offered for students from all faculties.
Students must pay for these courses and register for them. They are distinguished by a "G" in the lecture timetable in the course overview and SLI on-line registration form. - These courses can, if equivalent, be credited as BOK courses in the B.A. course of study.
|
Type 2 P-Courses | - These courses are free of charge but students must register. They are marked by a "P" in the lecture timetable in the course overview and SLI on-line registration form. Only students participating in a programme (e.g. ERASMUS) with the University of Freiburg can participate.
|
Type 3 | - Parallel to the above-mentioned courses are the Type 3 language courses. These are offered by the various institutes and departments and are open to students from all faculties. These courses are still free of charge and do not fall under the registration requirements of the SLI. In so far as they meet the requirements of the BOK language modules, they can be recognised by the BOK part of the B.A .course of study (see http://www.uni-freiburg.de/ga).
