Workshop concept
This workshop provides you an opportunity to present your research in English in a small group of your peers and improve your presentation style. Please bring your notebook and presentation on a USB stick. Participants have the option to be either audio or video recorded for personal future reference.
- Once you have signed up, you will receive some language material to help you prepare your presentation (e.g. typical phrases for transitioning, highlighting, referring to graphs, handling questions).
- On the day of the workshop, each participant will give a 7-10 minute presentation and then receive language feedback (e.g. pronunciation, accurate vocabulary, presentation phrases), from the workshop facilitator as well as peer feedback (e.g. slides, clarity).
- After lunch, you will have time to fine tune your presentation and practice parts of it again based on feedback received.
